Chances are, if you have the need to tell me this, you probably are “like that,” and you’re lying to yourself. It doesn’t matter whether I’ve known you for years or your “I’m not like that” is our first encounter; I cannot afford to take you at your words. Time and disappointing time again, I’ve found that all the people who say they aren’t like that…actually are like that.
